The entrepreneurial mindset is nothing new, but the internet has certainly leveled the playing field in many ways.  For us, starting with Etsy and Pinterest to the resurgence of Vintage Market Days type venues, crafting and selling sparked a passion for creating beautiful and useful things for the home.

I have been crafting and renovating most of my adult life- working out of my barn/workshop an hour south of Kansas City- I called it Horsefeathers Farm.  My son, Jordan discovered his talent just a few years ago, but notched it up a few levels and renovated his own home in Belton, Mo.  His shop is Vintage Makes.  We both caught this vision of having our own shop, and finding this building, we both had the same thought… this is a blank canvas.

We are bringing our God-given gifts and talents to this venture with the dream of helping to build this little street they call Old Town Belton into a shopping and dining experience that is seeing a renaissance in small towns.  You won’t see mass-produced, made in China, but it is our hope and vision that we will showcase local talent and expertise.  A new generation of original slant on trends.

We invite you to join our venture and help build this grassroots entrepreneurial district.
